Regarding travelling, I work under the same principle as Wessex Pet Photography, based in Lymington, covering a 25 mile radius from home, including the New Forest, Bournemouth, the Purbecks, East Dorset Southampton, and West Hampshire, but not the Isle of Wight unless the cost of the ferry is included. The same core fees apply - £95 for 1 hour session and £150 for a 2 hour session for one or two people plus one or two pets.
Frequently Asked Questions:
How many people are allowed in a portrait session? That depends on the portrait package you choose. I offer family portrait sessions, which allow both parents, all children, and up to two pets. Because those require more coordination and work, they're a little more expensive than, say, a business portrait with one person. What happens regarding inclement weather or illness? Always prepared to reschedule or consider alternative locations locally How do you take payments? Bank transfer preferred. Paypal Cheques must clear first. Cash...hmmm What happens if my child or pet is non cooperative Well, I'm going to stop, relax, take a deep breath and wait for the child or pet to calm down This is why I would only expect to have one or two sessions a day Can I share the photos on social media? Of course. I love it when people share my photographs. Please do not remove my watermark and give me a photo credit in return Do you do mini sessions? Headshots, yes Do You Give Discounts for Referrals? Yes. Refer me to a friend, and receive 10% of your session fee as a cash refund or gift voucher after their session has been completed Will you come to my home? Yes. While most of my sessions take place on location, I can always take photographs at your house. This option is particularly popular with newborn photos, pet portraits, and sometimes family sessions. Please note that I prefer to photograph in a room that's extremely well lit with natural light. How far in advance should I schedule my session? This, of course, depends on the session type. For example, I think some of the best maternity photos are taken between seven and eight months. Newborn photos should be taken within the first two weeks of your child's birth Outdoor sessions - I would want to visit the location under similar lighting conditions as your proposed shoot Do you photograph events outside your immediate area? Reluctantly due to other commitments. I'm a New Forest based photographer How long does it take for me to get my proofs? I was taught to get it right in camera. When I started photographing, photoshop was a thing of the future. I would hope to provide you with samples within a few days and complete editing within 7 days. What kinds of products do you offer? I offer a wide range of prints and products, including, but not limited to wall prints, albums, invitations, cards, mugs, mousemats, and jigsaws, Or your prints on CD or USB. Or download your pictures digitally. Check out the pricing pages on my website for more information. Loxley is my preferred supplier, also use 3XM and SIM Imaging.
How many outfit and location changes can I have? I never limit your outfit or location changes. All I ask is that you keep in mind that the time it takes for you to change or for us to move to another location does count toward your session time. If you have a larger family or are planning for more changes, it's probably best to choose a session with a higher time allotment. If you're unsure about which package is best for you, feel free to ask. I have a question for you that isn't answered here. Please ask
