Equipment Summary
Lighting
Mains flasheads, Courtenay, Interfit
Mains flashlights, Portrait
Metz Hammerhead flashguns
5 x Speedlites with remote triggers (for most dogs and other small animals a single light with reflectors usually is sufficient, since usually flat lighting (with the light source basically in the same direction as the camera) is employed.
4x continuous lighting heads, 2x 5 bulb, 2x 4 bulb mains operated. These are upgrades of the cheap lighting kits, the diffuser material replaced, incandescent bulbs giving a CRI of 100, and capable of being dimmed. CRI stands for colour rendition index, the ability of a light source to reveal colours faithfully in comparison with natural light. Both incandescent and flash give a CRI of 100.
Below 100, colours are not accurate, reds become orange, orange yellow, yellow magnolia, and so on through the spectrum, and this cannot be cured in photoshop
